My Christmas Traditions

For Christmas Eve me and my dad always go rabbit hunting with my cousins, then we go to my grandparents house and open some presents from them and my cousins and we have a big dinner. But on Christmas we usually just open presents and be lazy the whole rest of the day. Its pretty lit.

Christmas Traditions

One of my family's traditions is karaoke.I think my parents started this tradition when I was 10.Every Christmas eve we would sing to some of our favorite songs. My favorite part is when my mom and dad do their duet and there's no one who can get the mic back.I guess another of our traditions is to spend  it with other people. My family believes that no one should me alone on Christmas. So those are my family's Christmas traditions.

My Christmas Traditions

Christmas Traditions

My family and I have many Christmas traditions. Every year we either add a new one or not do one. But we have fun every year. Even the smallest things that we do every become traditions for new members of the family.

To begin with, every year I make a non-traditional cookies, bars, or maybe even a cake. I always love to try out new recipes and it has become something we do every year. The recipe is usually something that i had made maybe the week before, or something new i had seen on social media. We also always leave out two carrots and a bowl of water for Santa's reindeer.

Additionally, on Christmas Eve we always do last minute shopping. If you know my family, then you know we do everything last minute. It is always someone we forgot to get a present or something we forgot to get. In conclusion those are my Christmas tradition. Merry Christmas, Be safe!!!

When Christmas comes and all of the Christmas presents are opened, it's dinner time! The dinner is good but the part my family is most exited about is the Christmas poppers. Christmas poppers are from England and they are little tootsie rolls. But when you open them. BOOM! They are like little fire works that explode and give you presents! The explosion isn't big, and the presents are little, but hey, it's more stuff. That is my favorite Christmas tradition.

Holiday Traditions

My family has a very special Christmas tradition. Every year we open a present that is pajamas. Then after we all open them we put them on, and get into the car. We drive downtown and look at the Christmas lights. After that we Drive to our neighborhood and count all of the lights on houses. We all guess on how many houses have Christmas lights up and then start counting. The person with the closest number to the actual number wins. They are usually around the two hundreds or less. This is one of my favorite Christmas tradition I do.

Christmas tradition

                                                                Christmas Tradition
Christmas is one of my favorite holidays, I love everything about it. I especially love all the fun traditions. My favorite one is decorating candy trains/houses. After we eat dinner every year on Christmas eve we bring out all the candy we can find and we decorate candy trains or houses. Every year I try to make a awesome house, and every year it looks like garbage. No one in my family are very good at making them though so it's okay. Someone always ends up spilling frosting everywhere. By the end of the night the ground, the table, and everywhere else in the kitchen are covered in candy, frosting and graham crackers. I always look forward to making candy trains with my family every year.

My Favorite Holiday Tradition

My favorite family holiday tradition is each year on Christmas Eve, opening one present. Every year we already know what it is, pajamas. What we don't know is what they look like. I feel like opening one present seems to help me last until Christmas.
Another tradition I really enjoy is looking at Christmas lights. Our neighbors have AMAZING Christmas lights!!!! They have lights all over their roof and yard and the lights "dance" to music they play. My favorite part of their house is that they have these Christmas trees with faces and they sing to the music, and they have a really cool tree that they program to look like different things. One song they play is "Let it Go" and they tree shows Elsa, her castle, her doing snow magic and Olaf. I just really wish they had done Sven on there, because he is my FAVORITE! Some people who live not to far from my house go ALL OUT. No lie. their entire house is covered in lights, and they have a light maze and they sell hot cocoa on Fridays. I LOVE their neighbors lights just as much, it has a giant DITTO sign with an arrow pointing to the all out house.
These are my favorite holiday traditions!!
Candlelight dinner
The tradition started when my grandmother was in high school. Her dad worked for two companies and one sent their family a Christmas Candle Centerpiece that goes on a dinner table and the other company sent a poinsettia.  These are her words, “My mother decided to light the Christmas Candle Centerpiece on Christmas Eve for our dinner.  We ate in the formal dining room on white china with red cut glass glasses.  My mother was a really good cook and made a lovely meal.” My mother visited my great grandparents house for Candlelight Dinner till kindergarten.
When she was five, they moved to Illinois while my great grandpa, did his PhD coursework.  Since they were away from home, my great grandma started the tradition of Candlelight Christmas Eve dinner, or Candlelight Dinner for short. Ever since, it has been a great tradition.
Typically, my family will eat, barbecue green beans, fried mushrooms, steak, and potatoes. When my mom was a girl, it was pretty much the same. The only differences are, wild rice instead of potatoes, for a while layered jello salad or pear mint jello salad, but they switched to spinach salad. They’d enjoy have sparkling cider,  wassail, and often Black Forest Mini Cheesecakes or some treat neighbors or students at school gave them. Both my grandparents are retired school teachers. They use their china and  their best silverware.  So the tradition began with my great grandmother, who passed it to my grandmother, and now my family does it. I'll probably pass it on too.
                                                                          Christmas Tradition

My family's Christmas traditions are always fun but the best one is on Christmas day.
On Christmas Eve, my siblings and I all sleep in the same room. When we all wake up, we entertain ourselves with the stuff we get in our stockings. We always wake up early and want to open our presents but our parents always want to sleep in. We can't go near the tree without them so we yell "HEY! HURRY UP! WE WANT TO OPEN UP OUR PRESENTS!" They eventually wake up and we all are excited. We go the the tree and see our presents. We just stand there for about five minutes just staring at our parents and gifts with wide smiles and open mouths. We all want to open up our presents, but instead of going crazy, we open them in order from youngest to oldest. I have 6 siblings and I'm in the 4th one so it doesn't matter what order we go in. We all are excited when we open our presents, but it's mainly my two little sisters who are the most excited. When they open their presents, they take a deep breath, and scream. They scream so loud I could still hear them if they were on the top of Mt. Everest(not really). But I don't get mad at them. I'm the same way but less quite. In the end, I end up having a good with my family and we all are happy. I love Christmas with my family and we have the best time. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

My favorite family tradition

My favorite family tradition would probably be our advent calendar. Every year my mom fills out little slips of paper and puts them in the house and we fill it up with candy for every day. Every day my brothers always rush to the house to see what it is that day and say,"I want to be first!". Everyone laughs a lot when they say that. On Christmas day the last door is always filled with lots and lots of candy. It probably is the best tradition out of all of them. In conclusion, my favorite family tradition is the advent calendar and my family loves it.
                                                                  Christmas Tradition!

On Christmas eve, my family and I gather around the dining table and we eat, laugh, play games and much more its really fun i enjoy spending time with my family. After all of that we decide to have some dessert, usually we have something different every year. But its delicious. Then we either decide to keep playing or watching a Christmas movie. Usually we decide to keep playing some random game but its still pretty fun. After that we go to bed and wait for the next day, I Love Christmas, Its fun just spending time with my family and having a lot of laughter. And that's my Christmas tradition!.

Holiday Traditions

This year has gone by so fast, some times you need to just calm down and appreciate what you have done with holiday traditions.  My experience with holiday traditions has been great, if you didn't already know my birthday is on Christmas Day.  So my family has ways to make my special day my own day.  That day is Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve is the day that I get to do what ever I want. Wheather its going to a movie or sleeping in untill 3 pm it's my day to relax. I love this special tradition because I get so cought up in Christmas that I just forget about my birthday. That was one of my many fun family traditions.

Christmas Tradition

My family does a lot of Christmas traditions but my favorite one is on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve my grandma, my aunt, and my whole family go up to Cedar City and go ice skating. It is sort of a new tradition but I am already getting excited for it this year. We go to Cedar right in the morning and spend pretty much the whole day there. When we get there I always have to relearn how to skate but when we are about to leave I am pretty much a pro. Me and my brother always do a certain amount of laps to see who can finish first. When we get home we are so tired so we just watch a movie then got to bed. That is my Christmas tradition.

Christmas traditon

My family has lots of different traditions, but my favorite of which changes slightly every few years. Every year, for as long as I can remember, my family, (cousins, aunts, grandparents, etc.) has a Christmas party at either my house, my grandma's house, or sometimes one of my aunts' houses. I used to play with my cousins outside, but now I play card games with the adults, which I enjoy. My uncles used to play around with us a lot, chase us around outside the house and shoot the older cousins with BB guns, but (and don't tell them I said, this or they'll start doing it again) they've gotten kind of boring. Every year after we open our presents we got from our cousins, we draw out names. Each cousin draws another cousin's name, even my 9 month cousin gets a name. The name you draw is the person you, (or rather your parents) buy a gift for, for next year. Usually the kid will pick it out, the parent will buy it, and the kid will wrap it. Every year is slightly different, and as everyone gets older, things just get a little more boring, but I'm not complaining. I love our family Christmas parties, and I think they are the best tradition ever.

My Family's Holiday Tradition

My family's Christmas tradition is something I look forward to each year. On Christmas Eve we all usually get a new comfy pair of pajamas that fit us just right. Then, after dinner, my siblings and I would exchange gifts we picked out for each other; we switch who-gets-who each year. Afterward, we go on a ride in our car to look at pretty Christmas lights in our comfy P.J.s; we bring snacks and warm blankets so we are cozy. After we get home we go to bed, but its hard to sleep for me, because of all the excitement for Christmas morning! We wake up to find an orange in our stalkings each year along with many presents and packs of chocolate. Later on, we have a wonderfully delicious Christmas dinner with our Grandma and Grandpa. Overall, I love my family Christmas traditions and always wish they could never end!

Christmas Tradition

Every year, On Christmas Eve we all gather around the dinning table and have a big feast. This feast includes Big steaks, Mashed potatoes, Apple cider, Yams, Salad, Rolls, stuffing, broccoli, and pasta. The dessert is my favorite part: Chocolate fudge, Homemade pie, Divinity, cupcakes, cookies, caramel brownies, jello, peppermint ice cream, and hot chocolate. Another tradition we have is also on Christmas Eve, and we all Frost cookies for Santa Claus, and then read a christmas story.
Christmas is my favorite Holiday! Merry Christmas!!
Christmas Traditions
My family's Christmas traditions are fun to do! Each year, we go to a movie on Christmas Eve and go to my Grandparents. That night at my Grandparents house, we play Santa's Sack. (A.K.A White Elephant). We also open Christmas pajamas and stay up late. I usually wake up at 3 in the morning. On Christmas Morning, We open presents at 7 o'clock. Then at night, we go to my Grandparents house for leftovers and just chill. We have really fun on Christmas. I love Christmas. Happy Holidays!

Christmas Tradition

Ah the Christmas season, the best time of the year to spend time with your loved ones. In my family we have a couple of traditions for the holiday season. Our main traditions are eating Chinese food on Christmas, and getting pajamas on Christmas Eve. We also enjoy opening 1 present on Christmas Eve but I am focusing on the other two.

Eating Chinese food is not something I personally enjoy, but my family does so I do. As my mom says, ¨We eat Chinese on Christmas because it is the only thing open." We also get this tradition from a Christmas movie that I can't remember the name of but they go and eat Chinese on Christmas. That is why my family eats Chinese food on Christmas.

Every year on Christmas Eve my family has a wonderful tradition. My grandparents send us new pajamas and we wear them. We love doing this because we also put pajamas on my dog and we all take pictures together. We always have a lot of fun doing it and my dog enjoys the hugs and kisses she gets. We then go to bed and sleep. In the morning, while in our pajamas we then open our presents. I think the main reason we do this is because we need winter pajamas so we might as well get them for Christmas.

Those are some of the traditions my family has for the holiday season. I hope you enjoyed and will maybe even start doing some of these with your family.

My Christmas tradition

My Christmas tradition with my family is normally have some of our family come from mexico and some friends come over and we make a party were we bake goodies and food. When we are done eating we like to watch TV or even chat, most of us like sitting around the tree with hot chocolate then we like to go outside and start a campfire. When everything is done we clean up and exactly at 12:00 we open one
present and wait till the next day to open the rest. In the morning, we wait for everyone to wake up or we wake them up with music and open the rest of our presents.

My family(s) tradition is that  every other year we go down to California to go to my dads and on Christmas Eve we stay up and play games with each other and laugh and talk until 12:00 then we open presents with the family then that same night we leave the house and drive all the way back to Utah and by Christmas morning we are here in Utah and we eat a fast breakfast then we open more presents, But then some years its different like this year we are staying with my mom and when we are with my mom we go to bed super early and wake up on Christmas to run down the hall and see the presents then a couple days after that we go to California and open presents with out dad. Christmas is pretty crazy for us.

Holiday Tradition

My family's favorite holiday tradition is where we get new Christmas pajamas and we get to choose one present from under the tree to open on Christmas Eve. Every year I choose to open the smallest gift. Its my favorite tradition because we all have fun and laugh together (especially when we eat our Christmas eve dinner) I love this family tradition. Its the only time my brother and sister and I get along. Just kidding but we all have fun opening one gift and getting new comfy pajamas.
My favorite holiday tradition is when we all go down to the dollar store and get a present for everybody in our family. We get a hat and put our names in it and if your name gets drawn you have to give out your gifts. It lasts seven days so it is like Hanukkah but you get to have christmas, and the presents are actually good.

Best Thanksgiving dish

Best Thanksgiving Dish

What's your favorite food on Thanksgiving? My favorite food/dish on thanksgiving is Pie. According to the website, www.reference.com, "Americans consume 50 million pies at Thanksgiving. Pie is my favorite thing to eat on Thanksgiving, especially pumpkin pie. It's one of my favorite desserts. I thinks it is great to eat around fall because of all the spices it has. Holiday Tradition

Holiday Tradition

My favorite holiday tradition is probably putting up our Christmas decorations.  According to the article, "Christmas Facts" on "www.Softschools.com",Christmas light were invented in 1882 by  Edward Johnson.  I love decorating the house with a lot fun and festive stuff. It really just gets me in the Christmas feeling. For example, the tree, lights, etc. Putting up Christmas Decoration is probably not a tradition but, I really love doing it with my family. Although I have many favorite Holiday Traditions, putting up the Christmas Decorations is definitely my favorite tradition. In conclusion, decorating my house with Christmas Decorations is my personal favorite tradition.

Holiday Tradition

My favorite holiday tradition is what my family calls the, "Butterfield Christmas Party." Every year we go up to Salt Lake and meet with my dad's aunts, uncles, and specifically his grandpa. We all meet at a certain building up in Salt Lake. There is a game room; with foosball, a pool table, and ping pong. When we get there everybody hangs out in the gym or in the game room. Then, when dinner is ready we eat, and when that's through my great-grandpa has gifts for all of the grand kids and great-grand kids gifts, but all the kids over age 10 just get $10. In conclusion, the "Butterfield Christmas Party," is my favorite holiday tradition because I get to see family I almost never see.

Our Family Tradition

Every year a couple of days before Christmas, our family has a special tradition. We choose something to create or make from scratch, whether its a Christmas treat, a decoration, or something like candles that you can use all year long. Then, we find all of our family member's addresses(since most of them live out of state), put our gift we created in a box, and send it to them! We don't do this every year, but we do at least every other year. I have a lot of fun doing it with my parents and siblings! We get to look up ideas, or come up with our own! We came up with this tradition because we wanted to do something special that wasn't just for us, since it is the season of giving! We knew that its important to give around Christmas instead of receive. I looked up Christmas quotes through google, and the one I found said: "Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting." I really like this quote since it relates to our family's tradition. I love Christmas, and my family does too. Remember to give, and to have a merry Christmas!

My favorite Christmas tradition is going out at night and looking at Christmas lights. Every year one night, or sometimes more than one, we go out and drive. While we drive we see all sorts of different displays out on different houses. Sometimes we drive around so much in the dark my mom thinks we're lost. But my dad always knows where we're going. It's fun seeing what other people come up with in there Christmas light displays, and also looking at what my family has done. In conclusion, Christmas lights is one of my favorite parts of Christmas.

Holiday Tradition

My favorite family holiday tradition is when all of our family comes up from California and Arizona and we do a big holiday fest along with opening presents early from us to our cousins and from our cousins to us.
It happens a week or two before Christmas happens so all of our family can come and have some fun with nieces and nephews, and it takes place at two different houses. We have dinner, listen to the adults talk politics, and the kids horse around for about an 1 hr. Then we go over to our next location. After the kids and teens get ready, they put on a nativity scene for the adults, while one of the adults reads the story. After that is over with, one teen tells the story about a Christmas tree and the kids put on cute, little ornaments for it. Then, we sing songs. After "Here Comes Santa Clause", Santa walks in. The kids always cry out in joy: "Look!! Its Santa Clause!!!", which makes the teens and adults laugh. Santa then gives presents to the kids and teens and we open them in front of the adults and Santa. We all cry out a "thank you" then Santa leaves. After that, we have cake and ice cream or pie and ice cream, and the adults carry on their talk politics, leaving the kids to go outside, play with their family, and the dogs, of course! Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Apple Pie

I like almost everything we have on Thanksgiving, but the thing I look defiantly look forward to most every year is Apple Pie with ice cream. I have apple pie by itself everyone in a while (which is still really good), but I only get it with vanilla ice cream on Thanksgiving and Christmas. I really like apple pie and I don't understand why Pumpkin pie gets all this attention. I did some research and found that the 2 most liked pies, around Thanksgiving, are Apple and Pumpkin. I know Apple Pie is the best, because I did a survey with 32 random people I know, asking them whether they liked Apple Pie with ice cream, or Pumpkin Pie with whipped cream. My results are as follows: Apple with ice cream-23, Pumpkin with whipped cream- 18, and banana/Pecan (Which wasn't an option)-1. I know that's not a big difference, but it is still a difference. I did a little more research, and found a lot of stuff about how great Apple Pie is, and the most used one is "... is as American as Apple Pie. So, although Thanksgiving dinner is great, this dessert is for sure the best part.

The Best Thing to Eat on Thaksgiving

Cherry Pie

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is the delicious cherry pie. Cherry pie is the best type of pie. It is one of the many reasons why I love Thanksgiving so much. According to the "Most Googled Thanksgiving Recipe in Each State" cherry pie is the most googled thanksgiving recipe in New Mexico. The reason I love cherry pie so much is because of the sweet and juicy cherries in it. The juicy cherries really compliment the soft pie crust.  Every Thanksgiving I look forward to stuffing my face with the pie. I like all types of pie, but nothing compares to cherry.

The Best thing to eat on Thanksgiving

In my opinion the best thing to eat on thanksgiving is pretzel jell-o. I don't know if anybody else makes it but, WOW... It's delicious. According to "Allrecipes.com" "This is one of the hardest recipes I've ever made! But it's all worth it in the end." This is all true for sure. If I were you I would suggest it next Thanksgiving.

Pie is the Best!

One of my favorite things to eat on Thanksgiving day comes after the turkey and stuffing...... Pie! Almost everyone loves pie! The website "Chiff.com" says:"According to a survey by Crisco and the America Pie Council, 92% of americans enjoy eating pie." Our family has a pie tradition we do ourselves every Thanksgiving! We make a homemade Hershey-marshmallow pie that's the best in the world! In summery, pie should be everyone's tradition! I love it, and I know other people do too! Happy Thanksgiving!
                                            THE BEST THANKSGIVING DISH

So there you are, sitting at the table, surrounded by family, and waiting for the food to be served. And then you see it. The best thanksgiving food in the world. Stuffing. Stuffing is by far the best thanksgiving dish in the world. According to "The Week", in one of it's articles, "The 10 best classic Thanksgiving dishes, ranked", it says "Turkey merely provides a cavity for stuffing, Thanksgiving's true centerpiece. Stuffing is a reward, akin to delectable candy packed into a tasteless Butterball piñata." This means that stuffing is the best dish to have during the Thanksgiving season. In conclusion, this is why stuffing is the best Thanksgiving dish in the world.

Pumpkin pie

I think that pumpkin pie is the best thanksgiving dish. Its so delicious, I love pumpkin pie its my favorite but not just any pie, my moms homemade pie is the best i love it so much the taste of it is just so good. My mom wont tell anyone her recipe because that's our family recipe and its her special pie. And that's why i think that pumpkin pie is the best thanksgiving dish.

Main Dish

The main dish of thanksgiving is turkey it's the bird of November 24.For some reasons the meat on it that just falls off the bone, people love.Or you can add to it with a side of delicious mashed potatoes. For some people you have ham along with it and stuffing.Mine as well throw some macaroni in their just to add to it.To drink people drink cider or soda for the younger kids who trying to get crunk. That's a thanksgiving dinner to a average american family.

Which Thanksgiving Dish is the Best

My favorite thanksgiving dish is any sort of pie and mashed potatoes. Oh man, my mom has to stop me from taking the whole bowl of fluffy white potatoes. Whenever my grandma serves the pie I call the biggest piece. I can't resist the Martinelli's either that stuff is heaven in a cup. Thanksgiving is completely worth eating until your hearts content and gaining a few extra pounds.

Pie Wins The Race

Pie Wins The Race

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish? My favorite thanksgiving dish is pie. Every type. Pecan, Apple, Pumpkin, and Cherry. Lemon, Blueberry, and Banana Creme. All of them are delicious. So creamy and delightful. Tartness of cherries, richness of pecan, and fluffiness of pumpkin.

Pie is by far the best thing you can get at the dinner table on Thanksgiving. According to the article "The 10 best classic Thanksgiving dishes, ranked": "Pie is the light at the end of the tunnel, the reason we push ourselves and "make room. Each bit of flaky crust filled with nature's caramelized sugar is a testament to human perseverance." (Gayomali 1). Because of the caramelized sugar and flaky crust, we simply could die for a slice of any type of pie. Therefore, pie is my favorite dish to eat on thanksgiving. It gives you a small feeling of happiness and takes away the regret of gaining five pounds.

Most Common Dish in Thanksgiving's Dinners

The main dish during Thanksgiving dinners is turkey, according to Wikipedia, most thanksgiving turkeys are stuffed with a bread-based mixture and roasted, which many people like. Sage is the traditional herb added to the stuffing (also called dressing if NOT cooked inside the bird), along with chopped celery, carrots, and onions. Other ingredients, such as chopped chestnuts or other tree nuts, crumbled sausage or bacon, cranberries, raisins, or apples, may be added to stuffing. Furthermore, in 2006, American turkey growers were expected to raise 270 million turkeys, to be processed into five billion pounds of turkey meat valued at almost $8 billion. Turkey is the most common main dish of a Thanksgiving dinner, to the point where Thanksgiving is sometimes called “Turkey Day.” In conclusion, as you can clearly see the most common Dish that people eat in thanksgiving dinners is turkey, many turkey have stuffing inside them, which many people like and American turkey growers are expected to raise a lot of turkeys do to the fact that many people like to eat turkey during the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas each year.

Pumpkin Pie is da bomb

So there you are, sitting at the table while smells of Thanksgiving dinner tingle your nose. It's dessert time now, and mother finally lays a plate of pumpkin pie in front of your awaiting eyes. Suddenly, you're overwhelmed by a thrilling feeling. You cut the first piece and bring it towards your mouth . As soon as it touches your tongue, you're enveloped by the most exquisite feeling.  But why? BECAUSE IT'S PUMPKIN PIE! No doubt, pumpkin pie is the best Thanksgiving dish.

Pumpkin pie is seemingly adored by all pie lovers and is a Thanksgiving tradition. The article "Pumpkin Pie: A Thanksgiving Dessert with History," from the International Business Times website, states: "Pumpkin pies are what everyone loves, making them the most popular desserts for the holiday season." Obviously pumpkin pie is the best because it's the most popular dessert for Thanksgiving. Pumpkin pie is loved for it's creamy and silky texture. Undoubtedly, pumpkin pie is the best pie to have with whipped cream. Unlike some other pies, pumpkin pie is not runny, making it easier to eat.

Sweet, creamy, and tasty can describe this yummy treat. When pumpkin pie enters the kitchen, it is devoured within seconds. While apple, cherry, and pecan pies are good, they exist only in the shadow of  pumpkin pie. In brief, pumpkin pie is the best Thanksgiving dish because of it's top notch qualities. It's a tradition loved by all Thanksgiving fans. With a piece of pumpkin pie and whipped cream, you've basically got heaven on a plate! After all, pumpkin pie is da bomb!

Why is pie the Best food at thanksgiving?

In my opinion, Pie is the ABSOLUTE best dish!
Not just any pie though, according to " The Daily Meal", They state that Apple Pie is the #1 Best pie in America! That seems a little crazy because you would probably think that Pumpkin Pie would be the best, but no, That is in 2nd place. Pie is so amazingly delicious after every bite you feel like your dancing on rainbows! The article also states that " What helps to make thanksgiving so great, is the wide arrangement of pies." I think that is so true! You can't ever go wrong with 50 pies, am I right or am I right!
That is why I think Pie is the best dish food at thanksgiving!
In my opinion I think that mashed potatoes are the best food for thanksgiving. They will be good for anything. I like them with gravy in the center surrounded by mashed potatoes. I can't think of food that's better! All mashed potatoes are good, but the mashed potatoes our family makes are the best. It has the perfect flavor. That is why mashed potatoes are the best thanksgiving food.

What truly is the best Thanksgiving dish

The best Thanksgiving dish is defiantly the mashed potatoes. They are so good! With grandma's secret gravy, nothing even comes close. Most people think the potatoes are just a side, they can't be the best, But they are the true best. They are so moist, and have so much flavor and you just can't keep away for very long. With the gravy poured on top, And the extra goodness that comes with. The whole year I look forward to the deliciousness that comes on that special day.

Which Thanksgiving Dish Is The Best

I think the best dish for Thanksgiving is pie. Pie is what I look forward to on Thanksgiving day. Pie is just amazing I don't have words to explain how good it is. My favorite is pumpkin pie. Every day before Thanksgiving my family always has to break out a box of pumpkin pie with whip cream. Nothing beats that tradition. First you have beautiful, cold, soft whipped cream on top of the delicious bed of soft pumpkin pie. Nothing gets better than that.

Which thanksgiving dish is the best?

Most people would think that the turkey or ham is the best dish. The most important part of food are the side dishes! If you didn't have side dishes then your thanksgiving dinner would be all meat and out of nowhere your turkey could be dry. I feel like mashed potatoes are the best dish!  "According to a Gallup poll and a poll done by the Pioneer Woman", mashed potatoes were the favorite side dish amongst the majority of Americans polled".   I completely agree! Mashed potatoes are truly the BEST side dish! All those potatoes mashed up perfectly just to make those yummy, creamy, fluffy, and smooth mashed potatoes! It's like heaven! (especially if they are homemade like my dads)! Mashed potatoes, in my opinion, are the BEST side dish for thanksgiving dinner!
Why pie is the best Thanksgiving food

In my opinion pie is the best food at thanksgiving. There are hundreds of different recipes for pies but my personal favorite is pumpkin. In the article "Top Ten Pumpkin Pies" it stated, "Nothing completes your Thanksgiving meal like a classic pumpkin pie."(tasteofhome.com) I mean, who can resist a nice thick piece of homemade pumpkin pie after a thanksgiving dinner. Then you get to sit and relax while you try to let your food digest. In conclusion, this is why pie is the best Thanksgiving food.

In my opinion the best part about thanksgiving is the mashed potatoes.  According to The Week, "The top 10 best classic Thanksgiving Dishes, Ranked", mashed potatoes can be made and sculpted into anything They are your own starchy canvas where you can make it creamy, chunky, skins, no skins, make every single bite a explosion of flavors, or enjoy it with absolutely nothing. Either way, it is going to make you wish you hadn't ate the whole bowl so you can enjoy the sweet taste and smooth texture of the best part of all thanksgiving, the mashed potatoes. Now you know my opinion and I hope you have the same feelings next thanksgiving when that wonderful scent of mashed potatoes come, that you are about to experience the most wonderful taste your pallet will taste for the next 365 days.

What is the best Thanksgiving dish?

Thanksgiving is, in my opinion,  is one of the best holidays. You get to see family that lives far away, and best of all you get to eat a ton of food! But what is the best Thanksgiving dish? I think that mashed potatoes is the best Thanksgiving dish.
According to, "The week 10 best classic Thanksgiving dishes" written by Chris Gayomali it states "You can load them with garlic. Or infuse them with garlic." You can do basically anything to mashed potatoes and they will taste amazing. Thanksgiving wouldn't be complete without mashed potatoes, when I think of Thanksgiving I think of Mashed potatoes and gravy. People have eaten Mashed potatoes for many years, and now are a must have at Thanksgiving.  In conclusion, mashed potatoes are the best Thanksgiving dish because they taste amazing anyway they are cooked, and they are a classic Thanksgiving dish.

The the best dish on Thanksgiving!

It was Thanksgiving morning and it was time to go to my grandparents house! Once we got there I could smell the beautiful scent of turkey and delicious soft rolls baking in the warm oven! The aroma of the turkey filled the room! It was one of my favorite smells to walk into!

Turkey is one of the main dishes on Thanksgiving. When ever someone says Thanksgiving to me I instantly think of turkey. Wikipedia says "The turkey is a large bird in the genus Meleagris, which is a native to the Americans."  There is a certain kind of turkey that we like to eat! It is called the domestic turkey or in other words wild turkey. It has the nickname of wild turkey because it lives in the forests of North America! It is important because the turkey fill many stomachs on thanksgiving! The only downside about turkey is it takes a long time to cook. It also is sad that we have to kill them, but in the end it still tastes really good!

What is the best food for thanksgiving?

What is the best food for thanksgiving?
In my opinion, I think the ham is the perfect thanksgiving meal because it simple and simply but very good and do you really want to wait all the process of waiting for the turkey to be ready? To be honest, ham is just faster to make and there is no need to be starving while waiting for the turkey to be finished. I'm not saying I don't like turkey i'm saying I like ham better but either way that's what i think is the best food to serve for thanksgiving.  In the article Ham vs. Turkey, the ham calories are 125 meanwhile, if you want turkey the calories are 147 which is +22 compared to ham.(Weight loss foods).

Pie - the best food and number there is

You can't have thanksgiving without dessert. The very best desert however, is pie. Pie has a wonderful crunchy crust with a magnificent filling on the inside. Pie is in the last course of the meal but by far the most important. In their article "10 best classic Thanksgiving dishes ranked" theweek.com said "Pie is the light at the end of the tunnel, the reason we push ourselves and "make room." Each bit of flaky crust filled with nature's caramelized sugar is a testament to human perseverance. Pie is a triumph." This means that pie is truly the best dessert for the Thanksgiving season. That is why by far, pie is the best food for thanksgiving.

What is the best thing to serve in Thanksgiving?

To me the most important dish to have is dessert. The smell of pie cooling on the table is the best thing to walk into.According to "The Week" on its "10 best classic Thanksgiving dishes"pie is number one.Whether its pecan or apple pie it's the real reason why we make room for dessert. Therefore pie is always a sure dish to serve in Thanksgiving.

The Best Part of a Thanksgiving Meal

You are sitting at the dinner table with friends and family and it is Thanksgiving, you look over the food your family has prepared and wonder what part of the meal will taste best. The stuffing is the most delicious part of Thanksgiving dinner because it is very flavorful! According to theweek.com on the article "The 10 best classic Thanksgiving dishes, ranked": "Stuffing is a reward, akin to delectable candy packed into a tasteless Butterball piñata.". Therefore, stuffing is the most appetizing food that you eat from inside of the turkey. Overall, stuffing is the best part of a Thanksgiving meal because it has the most delightful flavors compared to the rest.

It not thanksgiving with out the turkey

It is not thanksgiving without the turkey. Turkey has been a part of our world to feast on why to long to die. According to the cite wonderopolis "when the colonists sat down to dine with the Wampanoag Indians, turkey was the main dish."(2)  In other words the big fat bird on your table that you eat every thanksgiving is because when the America settlers came they were poor and hungry so the Indian should them how to plant corn and other goods. They then settled down on thanksgiving and ate like kings with the biggest juiciest turkeys they could find and kill on their plates. Also some people say turkey is supper unhealthy and makes you tired because of the potassium this is flatus the reason yours tired is because of the calories. In a few word the turkey has been around way to long to be giving the cold shoulder and is with out a doubt the best dish ever so should continue to be the highlight of November.

Turkey, the eighth wonder of the world

It's Thanksgiving morning and the scent of a deliciously seasoned meat fills the air. I prance down the stairs because I know that tonight I will eat like a king. I see the gorgeous bird in the oven being cooked to perfection for a deliciously divine dinner. As you can see the Turkey is my favorite food at thanksgiving.  According to Alexander Hamelton, " No U.S citizen shall refrain from turkey on Thanksgiving Day." This man speaks the truth in my opinion. Also according to "Time" "90 percent of U.S citizens eat turkey on Thanksgiving, most of them said they eat it because they feel it is the most filling." Paragraph 7. This means that 90% of Americans know that the turkey is so delicious that they have to eat it every Thanksgiving, the other 10% must think a turkey is a chicken. Overall, the turkey is so great tasting and is the best looking by far, no wonder that it is the main course at Thanksgiving,

Best Thanksgiving Dish

Imagine Thanksgiving has arrived. You are upstairs on your bed and suddenly a beautiful aroma drifts through the house. Almost instantly, it filters into your room. You slowly rise from your seat. Zombie like, you follow your nose all the way down the stairs. "Mom!" you exclaim. "What is that delicious smell?" She smiles and replies "It's the desert.” Later, when it is finally time to eat, you quickly finish your meal, careful not to stuff yourself silly. After what seems like hours of eating, everyone finishes. Your mother sends your older brother to the back fridge. He grabes your cousin to help him bring in seven beautiful pies. When the two of them finish, the whole house erupts in shouts of joy. Pie, Pie, Pie!

Pie is most definitely the best course on Thanksgiving day.  The Daily Meal points out that many countries enjoy pies as often as we do. It declares, “The point is that pies are such a versatile (many) dish that they’re eaten in many cultures and assume (take) many forms.” It continues by saying, “apple pie comes from England (or Germany) it has been adopted and changed by the U.S. to the point where it’s now an American classic dish.” Which means, we have gathered different pies recipies from all over the world to feast and enjoy. Although there are so many savory flavors when it comes to our giant Thanksgiving meal, pie really does top it off.

Peoples favorite Thanksgiving food

Why is Turkey the best food at Thanksgiving time? According to "Gallup.com" they stated "Nearly half of all Americans, 49% said turkey was their favorite." This shows that most Americans like turkey over all the meals on Thanksgiving day. Out of the 15 foods that the website put out, turkey dominated all of the competition. In conclusion, turkey is Americas favorite Thanksgiving meal and will most likely stay like that for along time.

The most popular Thanksgiving food

Many people say that they love the turkey, stuffing, potatoes, or cranberry sauce are definitely the best food when Thanksgiving rolls around. You often wonder which food is the best. Pie is the best because of how many people eat pie on Thanksgiving, and how many people love it! Almost $700 million in pies are sold each year!!! According to, " theweek.com", pie is the reason we try to make room at the end of a large meal. (Gayomali) Even the $700 million in pies each year isn't all of the pies people eat. Many people make their own too! People don't even just have it for dinner! They have it for breakfast, lunch, and midnight snacks as well. Some even eat whole pies themselves! That's why pie is the best Thanksgiving food!
The obvious number one Thanksgiving dish, is most definitely pie. Pumpkin pie, chocolate pie, pecan pie. You name it! In the article "The 10 Best Classic Thanksgiving Dishes, Ranked" says "Pie is the light at the end of the tunnel, the reason we push ourselves to 'make room'" (Gayomali, theweek.com). Pie is by far everyone's favorite Thanksgiving dish. With the many different options to chose from, pie outranks them all. The main reason most of us suffer through the main Thanksgiving courses, is so that we can enjoy the delicious taste of pie at the very end. In conclusion, pie is clearly the best part of any Thanksgiving dinner.

Many people say that turkey or stuffing is the best food during Thanksgiving, but according to FluentU.com, pumpkin pie is coming right behind them, also, it sates; "The pumpkin spice flavor in America now means that autumn is here. Almost everything has a pumpkin spice version! There's pumpkin spice coffee, pumpkin spice cookies... there are even pumpkin spice sausages and bagels! Surprisingly, the flavor doesn't even have actual pumpkin in it. But pumpkin pie does have pumpkin. A delicious warm spice and pumpkin filling inside a flaky crust will always warm you up!" Who wouldn't want a good tasting pie for desert during Thanksgiving?

Halloween Story

Inside the Closet

Tap. Tap. Tap. The sound came from inside the closet. Quietly, I crept toward the door and as I walked, grabbed a bat that was siting next to my bed. I opened it very quiet and slowly. But, when I did there was nothing there. It was very strange. Then I forgot as the days went on.

One week later, my teacher assigned a group project of three people. My friends and I decided to work in my house that day. Tap. Tap. Tap. We all heard that noise again. We all stared at another. We all grabbed something and headed towards the door, very quietly. We all opened it.

We couldn't believe our eyes. There was somehow a secret pathway. In my closet. It was like a transporter. We all decided to go in. When we did there was son crazy things. The monsters scared us. Then a kid saved us us it was weird. We all glared. After that day we never had a never piece of candy.

                                        Too Much Candy

" Ugh. I think I ate too much Halloween candy." was something I would never say. Something that does sound like me is, "I need more Halloween candy."  In my opinion, there is never enough of anything that is sweet. Here is a reason parents should give out more candy on Halloween, children will cause World War Three.  There is a chain reaction which causes this. First things first, parents start handing out veggies (or also known as the devil's fruit.) out for Halloween. After, the children will go bonkers for something that has flavor. They will start robbing Willy Wonka for some chocolate, then they rob Hershey chocolate company.  Willy Wonka and Hershey will team up against the children by shutting down the companies. The whole reason the parents decided to give out veggies was to keep the candy to themselves, so they call the President. The President needed to have that candy to survive, running the nation takes a lot out of him so he needs candy to give him joy in his life.  So the President said, "I need that candy lets tell them to start it back up or we need need to give them something they can't resist, new customers."  They agree and send the children to China. The Chinese won't know what to do with them. So they took matter into their own hands and started War to send them back. In conclusion, children don't get enough candy and if things get worse then bam, World War Three.  I've warned you now to prevent bad things from happening. So take a stand and give more candy.

My experience in the Old Bosworth Masion

One Day when I was going in front of the old Bosworth mansion, I remember that there where rumors about the old Bosworth mansion was haunted by ghost and other strange things that no one had ever seen, which special teenager didn't believe because it didn't make sense so then I decide to take a look inside the mansion to see if whether the rumors where real or not, I started climing the wall with out anybody noticing. I was starting to walk to the front door, got in and started to take a look inside the mansion at first everything look normal nothing happened didn't hear any sound, but the more I got deeper I started to hear things then I felt a cold chill coming down my spin, when that happen I knew that something was wrong and I had to go but I didn't leave I told my self that maybe someone was there pranking at me, I kept going until I saw a shadowy figured far away , at that moment I knew I had to run and get out, I started to run, luckily I got out the mansion with out any scratches on my body, since that night, I have never been near that masion.

Halloween Short Story

One night, I was walking through the woods, all alone, with no one in sight. As I was walking, I thought I saw a person, so I went up to them. When I got there, it wasn't a person, it was just a statue. I then noticed I was in a graveyard. There had to be at least a thousand graves there. It started to become foggy and I couldn't see very well. I then heard something, but it was just an old crow. I couldn't stand the place. I had to leave. I turned around to leave but couldn't see the exit because of the fog. I started to look around for a way out. I noticed the sun was about to set and knew it would be even harder to see. When the sun was about to set, I could see the exit. I started to go towards it when I heard a strange noise coming from behind me. I turned around to see another statue, but it started to come towards me. It was coming closer and I heard groaning. I knew it had to be a zombie even thought I didn't believe in them. But I did then. I tried to look for something to protect myself. I found a shovel and pointed it at the zombie. I was ready to hit it when I found out it wasn't a zombie. It was my friend. He said he was heading home and lost his way and ended up in the graveyard. He tripped on a rock and hit his head and got knocked out. I told him I was glad to see him. We went toward the exit and headed home.

Halloween Story

Too Much Candy

Ugh. I think I've eaten too much Halloween candy I mumbled as I sat on my bed staring up into space regretting eating all my candy. It was a great night. Three full size candy bars, two rings, and a blinking necklace. I had no idea what was going to happen next. All of a sudden I hop up and realize my whole room was covered in lava. I struggled to hop around as one by one a piece of my room was getting devoured by the boiling lava. I managed to jump on my shoe rack and get out the door, then I realize I just stepped into a huge mess. I look around me and all I see is lions standing in a huge jungle known as my hallway. I try to open my bedroom door but soon realize its locked. "Its going to be a long night" I say out loud as if I was talking to someone. The lions seemed to get scarier and scarier. I decide to make a run for it. I'm hoping around on vines. It was almost like I was Tarzan. I finally loose them. I get to what used to be our living room but know is a national park. There is a tight rope going across a big valley. I look back and see a hungry bear standing behind me, I have two choices. Be the bears deliscious dinner or walk across the rope. I wasn't about to get eaten, so I hop onto the rope looking down and beginning to get very frightened. I walk across one foot at a time making sure I don't miss the rope and take a plunging fall to a very sad death. I was almost there and hear a voice screaming "Sammy, Sammy, Sammy", I look up and loose my balance. I fall off the tight rope and then I open my to find my mom trying to wake me up to come pass out candy to last few kids. It was just a dream! "Ok" I say while I try to think about what just happened. "NEVER AGAIN''. I walk out the door and pass out the candy being disgusted by thinking of eating another piece. "I'm never eating a piece of candy for the rest of my life".

 Halloween Story
It was a cold and foggy Halloween night, and my friends and I decided to go Trick-or-Treating. We wanted to go to Hidden Meadows. The people at Hidden Meadows would always hand out king sized candy bars. Only one thing stood in our way, the Dark Woods. The only way to get there was to go through it. Many people have gone in to explore it, but didn't come back. Those woods are haunted by the ghost of Caroline. The story of Caroline begins about 50 years ago on Halloween. Caroline and her friends had decided they wanted to explore the woods. They came came across a little wood cabin in a huge field. They were cold and lost so, they went to go look for help. When they knocked on the door, an elderly woman answered. She had invited them in for some hot coco. The old women had poisoned them with the hot coco. The girls bodies were never found. The old lady had vanished. My friends and I needed a plan to get through the forest alive. We were starting wonder if candy was worth it. Free candy was worth it. We decided to go through the Dark Woods. We were half way through the the woods, and then we heard whispering from all around us. We all ran as fast as we could to get out of  there. We kept getting closer and closer to the light. We finally made it. We were confused at what had chased us. We finally started trick-or-treating. We had been trick-or-treating for a while now.  The last house we decided to trick-or-treat was a kind old lady giving out hot chocolate.
Tap, tap, tap. I woke up startled because of the story my cousin told me just two hours earlier, it was about a shapeshifting monster that liked turning people into stone. Tap, tap tap. I heard it again. I looked out the window and saw a tree branch. Maybe I was just freaking out, I told myself. Monsters aren't real. All of the sudden, I heard a shuffle, stomp, shuffle, stomp. I was starting to doubt myself, maybe monsters were real. But, then I saw my dad standing in the doorway. "go to sleep," he said. "Oh well," I thought. I would;t listen to my cousin's stories again.

MY HALLOWEEN STORY

One Halloween night, Lia and I were heading back to her house after a long night of trick or treating and we saw strange lights in the rough, rocky road. We passed a black cat with rough, dirty fur and realized the cat's eyes were reflecting. We both were a bit confused because the cat just appeared right in front of our eyes. We screamed and ran back to Lia's house, and we dropped all of our candy. We were starving by the time we got home. since we had no candy to eat, all we had to eat was cheese and crackers! NOBODY LIKES CHEESE & CRACKERS!!!!!!!!!!! All of a sudden, the same black cat with the dirty fur, appeared on the movie screen. We both screamed and ran for our lives. Then, The unthinkable happens...........................

The Punch

"What is that AWFUL smell?" I asked. Then I saw the cauldron full of bubbling purple liquid. It's probably just the punch for the Halloween party, at least I thought. At the moment my mother was out getting decorations for the party. I looked at the strange purple liquid again and wondered what it would taste like. Curiosity got the best of me, I started walking to the cauldron. Each step closer got me more curious. Then I felt someone or something tug my hoodie, I turned around slowly. As I turned around I thought it might have been my mother. She wouldn't be home yet, would she? Then, to my horror I saw two terrifying eyes staring at me that belonged to a hideous face that was covered with warts! I screamed as louder than I thought I ever could! I didn't think it could get any scarier until the "thing" was pulling it's own face off! I let of another bone chilling scream. I was closing my eyes hoping the monster wouldn't hurt me, until it tapped my shoulder. I opened my eyes slowly to find my father laughing with a mask in his hand. "You can't have the punch yet!" he said whilst laughing "You'll have to wait till the party!". Then we both laughed and waited for my mother to get home to decorate.

Halloween Story

"There" said my Dad, as he handed me our Jack-O-Lantern. "Just set it on the porch anywhere you want." "Ok" I replied. I went outside and found the perfect place to set the Jack-O-Lantern! I was about to go inside when I heard the leaves ruffle on the bush. I stopped and turned around. I looked around the yard and there was nothing there! I stayed outside for a little bit longer. I started going inside when I hear "RAWR!" It was my 3 year old brother dressed in his dragon Halloween costume. I screamed as loud as I could. I'm pretty sure I woke up my whole neighborhood! I told my brother to come inside with me. We went inside and told mom and dad about my little brother scaring me. We all laughed and fell asleep watching a movie!

Everybody said the old Bosworth mansion was haunted but I didn't believe it myself. That is until I actually did find out it was haunted.

It was late into the night of August 17th and there was a slight breeze, my friend and I didn't believe the rumor that was spreading throughout the neighborhood. The truth was I didn't want to believe it, iv'e been afraid of ghosts ever since I knew they existed. We crept up on the eerie setting of the old Bosworth mansion my friend saw a black cat and he thought we were doomed, but I told him that was a myth. The house was deserted long ago so we were clear to go inside. We walked around the bottom floor for about twenty minutes and then went up stairs when we heard a strange noise coming from the hall we immediately stopped. That was when we saw a white cloud in a figure of a human hovering above the ground. We started running for the stairs but then a river of rats poured through the guest bedroom in the way the boys were running so they went back down the other stair case. Each of them left in a full sprint back to their homes.

They would talk about this story with anyone that would listen. Most didn't believe it as they thought but some did. Few dared to enter this massive haunted mansion but if they did they were never seen again.

                            Halloween Story

Tap tap tap.The sound came from inside the closet.Quietly,I crept forward to the door when all of a sudden I saw a shadow. It didn't look like any shadow I've ever seen before. It had 3 arms and what seemed to look like a tail.I was so frighten that ran out of my room. I guess I was running so fast I hit a wall or something, and wow did it hurt. That wall left me a bruise on my leg bigger than my phone.Anyways after I stopped complaining I went to my brothers room to see it he was there. He wasn't. Then I started to wonder if he was just pulling my leg.So I went to open the closet door and surprise, surprise it was him.I asked him what he was doing, and he said he was trying to scare me.I told him "mission accomplished, now leave!"
Halloween Night!!!
One Halloween night A group of kids went out trick or treating. The oldest one wanted to do something really stupid but nobody else had a better idea.He wanted all of them to go into the old abandoned mansion where a family of 8 died in.At first they were a little scared so he decided to make things a little interesting. They all huddled around and the oldest told them that who ever can stay in the house the longest would win everybody candy for the night. The group of boys all agreed and went into the house.Somebody had an idea to go explore this mansion so they know where they can go if anything happens. Then they all walked up the long twisted stairs they creeked as they took any sudden movement. One of the boys said I’m kinda scared already the rest of the boys agreed except for the oldest he just called them all babies. The youngest boy had to go pee so he ran off into the house looking for the bathroom.20 minutes later the group of boys heard a scream come from the downstairs,so they ran down there and couldn't find him.Until the oldest found a hidden door”it looks like a basement” said the middle child. Then they heard the scream again from the doorway and they walked down with all of there flash lights on to see if anything was down there. They then heard a whimper in the corner and a light flashed on it and there was the boy turned into the corner with blood coming out of his eyes. The flashlights went out and the door shut and locked then all of them scream and banged on the door until it stopped. The boys were never seen again after that Halloween night!!!

Halloween Short Story

I took off my Halloween costume, washed the paint off my face, put on my pajamas, brushed my teeth, and went to bed. I was almost asleep when I first heard the sound, it seemed to be someone was out front mowing our lawn! This was especially strange because our front yard is full of rocks. I grab my phone and sword, and went by the front window to investigate. When I got to the window, I saw something awful in the yard. Someone or something, was in our yard with a lawn mower. I grab my phone and call my mom. It rings a few times, but she never answers. I decide to take matters into my own hands. I grab my sword, and prepare to battle the creature. I tried to throw open the door, but I forgot to unlock it. Luckily, no one is around so no one will ever know how embarrassing that was. I unlock it and this time successfully, open the door. After this I run forward, and like a crazy person start screaming and whacking the creature. After a minute I hear, "Zac stop it's just a joke!". I grab my phone and using it as a flashlight, I find out that I had accidentally been beating the crap out of my friend with a sword. After that, and a bit of questioning my friend I find out that he thought no one was home and he wanted to see what we would do if he left a lawnmower on in our yard. After that, I went inside, locked the door leaving my friend outside, and went to bed.

Yes I really do have a sword. It is made of several layers of foam on the outside and a fiberglass pole in the middle

Haunted House

Everybody said the old Bosworth mansion was haunted, I used to believe them, but now I know it’s not true, or possible for that matter. When I was younger the kids would dare each other to go up and ring the doorbell. Only the older kids ever actually did it. (Older referring to 9,10, and 11) They would run up to the steps, and ring the bell with no worry, ignoring the looks of wonder coming from everyone under 8. The day I turned 10, which happens to be Hallows Eve, I was dared to do something no child has ever done before, ring the bell on Halloween. Being the proud newly 10 year old I was, and accepted the challenge confidently, but on the inside, I was freaking out about the following day. I had rang the bell 2 times before, once on Easter morning when I was 8, (terrifying) and once on a Wednesday after school last year (scary, but less terrifying.) Never, in the history of ever, had anyone ever gone at 10 o’clock at night, on a Friday, on the 31st of October. And that’s exactly what I did.
Around 9:45, I headed for the Bosworth house, dropping my candy off at my house on the way. I was really scared. It was hard enough to ring the bell in the middle of the day, but doing it at night on Halloween? I couldn’t remember why I agreed to it. Even the 11 year olds wouldn’t do it, so why was I?! At this point I was freaking out inside, but I did my best to act calm. A large group of kids had come to watch, and everyone was silent as I made my way towards those dreaded steps. Suddenly someone called out, “I’ll give you a hundred bucks if you go inside!” I froze at the top of the stairs. Everyone in the crowd started whispering to one another. I decided to ignore the comment and took a deep breath. I walked up to the door and started to reach for the bell, but my hand started moving toward the handle instead. I twisted the knob and the door creaked slowly open. For the hundredth time that night I thought, “What the heck am I doing!?” But my body wouldn’t respond. I heard panicked whispers from behind me, but my body paid them no mind as I inched my way into the house. The door slammed closed behind me, and I heard muffled shrieks from outside.
I was inside the house for about half an hour. When I came out I was limping slightly and had a small bruise on my arm. My hair was covered in dust and the palms of my hands were scraped up. But that’s not why everyone was staring. When I step through the door, I had a huge smile on my face, and I was holding a cupcake. I walked over to the kid who offered a hundred dollars. He quietly handed me the money (why he had it with him I don’t know), and I walked away, leaving everyone wide eyed and gaping. And that’s why I know the Old Bosworth house is definitely not haunted.
                                                      The Halloween Treat
I took off my Halloween costume, Washed the paint off my face, put on my pajamas and went to bed. I was almost asleep when I heard the first noise from my closet. I hurried and put my covers over my face, because I thought it was self defense. After the first noise I thought it was nothing but as I started falling back asleep it happened again. This time it wasn't the same noise. It sounded like crunching. I wasn't sure what it could be. The only thing in there was my clothes and my candy. The noise then came again. So I stood up and walked to the door with my pillow, just encase I had to smash someone or something. Then I opened the door and, guess what was in there. My little brother eating my candy! Turns out I did need the pillow. When I was finished with him my pillow Would be flat.
Happy Halloween

Everybody said the old Bosworth mansion was haunted, but my brother and I didn't believe in ghosts. So on Halloween we decided to go and check it out. Why on Halloween? I don't know because thinking back on it that probably wasn't our smartest idea considering it was Halloween and if it was haunted that might make any monsters stronger. Anyways, as we walked up to the door and we were about to let ourselves in, (nobody lived there, so there was no point in knocking) the door slowly creaked open. Now you,re probably thinking we turned around at this point, like a smart person would do. Wrong. We really weren't thinking straight and went right in. It looked just like any ordinary house minus the dust and cobwebs everywhere. Suddenly, we heard another creaking sound coming from the stairs. We immediately headed toward the sound. We followed it up the stairs and into the master bedroom. From behind the curtain we heard another creak. As we pulled back the curtain, I don't know what we expecting to see, but it sure wasn't a small black cat. Every time the cat moved the floor beneath it creaked. Shortly after, we left, thinking to ourselves I wonder how that little cat earned how to open a door. We were also left thinking how that little cat could have left everyone thinking that the house was haunted. Overall, it was a good Halloween, we still got plenty of candy and we solved a little mystery. Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween

I took off my Halloween costume, washed the paint off my face, put on my pajamas, brushed my teeth, and went to bed. I was almost asleep when I first heard the sound of my door creaking open. I hurried and looked out the door but nothing was there. I picked up my cat when suddenly I heard the sound again. My cat jumped out of my arms and ran out the door. I was worried. I yelled MOM! After that, the hallway lights turned off. I walked out of my room and into the hallway to turn them back on but I saw a black figure staring at me. I ran in my room, slammed the door shut and covered myself with blankets. I heard nothing but silence for a minute. Just then the door opened wide and a bright light covered me so I couldn't see. The bright light turned off and staring at me was my cat. He meowed and jumped on my bed. I thought it was over but then again I heard my door creaking. I looked out of the hallway but I still saw nothing. I went back in my room and turned the light on. After that, I saw the black figure looking at me again. I jumped out of bed and ran in my bathroom. Then I opened the door a minute later and nothing was there. I called my mom but she didn't answer it someone else did. A deep, creepy voice answered saying i'm in your bed. I looked back and my brother popped up in a black costume and yelled HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I was so scared. Now that was the best Halloween.
