It was Thanksgiving morning and it was time to go to my grandparents house! Once we got there I could smell the beautiful scent of turkey and delicious soft rolls baking in the warm oven! The aroma of the turkey filled the room! It was one of my favorite smells to walk into!
Turkey is one of the main dishes on Thanksgiving. When ever someone says Thanksgiving to me I instantly think of turkey. Wikipedia says "The turkey is a large bird in the genus Meleagris, which is a native to the Americans." There is a certain kind of turkey that we like to eat! It is called the domestic turkey or in other words wild turkey. It has the nickname of wild turkey because it lives in the forests of North America! It is important because the turkey fill many stomachs on thanksgiving! The only downside about turkey is it takes a long time to cook. It also is sad that we have to kill them, but in the end it still tastes really good!
Very good job on your paragraphs!!! I liked it a lot, I liked how you mentioned how it has been eaten for a long time and how, its sad you have to kill them. The only thing I would change is you should've mentioned a article in your paragraph, other then that amazing job!!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was great, but I would get rid of one of the first two sentences because they say the same thing just in a different order. Other than that it was great.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I really liked your story and how you started it. You made me want to read more. I also liked how you said that it is sad that we have to kill them. (it is sad) Anyways, one thing I would change is if you added an article. Great job!
ReplyDeleteYou did a fantastic job! It catches your eye easily because it starts out with a story. If you were to revise, once or twice you repeated a sentence, but otherwise you did great!
