My Unresolution is to Stop Boasting
As awesome as I may be when I encounter somebody on the street and they ask me, "How is your life going?" I answer, "Very well. I am acing all of my school classes, finished an ALEKS pie in one week, keep second placing (I will have revenge on this one kid very soon) in MATHCOUNTS and the Geckothon, almost ran an under 6 min mile. How is yours?" Is that really what they want to hear or would they just prefer me saying it is okay? But they did ask didn't they? I mean I may have the brains of Einstein, and a very athletic body (I said I am working on it) but is that what they want to hear or is that rude and incredible mean? I don't normally compare somebody to myself unless they offend me or some how beat me. Do I really need to show off, though? In most competitions I try to lay low so that if I don't win or if I am not even in the final 10 I don't look like a loser. I know that this resolution is going to be a hard one to keep (Hey, what are you laughing about? Most Americans don't keep their resolutions.) But as the bumper sticker on the back of a min-van says,"If you put you mind to it, anything is possible."
Great job! I really liked your post. I liked the humor you put in it and your un-resolution. I can't think of anything to fix so Awesome job.
