I really enjoy writing fantasy stories, even when I was young. I remember in one grade (I don't remember which one it was) my teacher had writing folders and every day we would have writing time and everyone wrote their stories really short and fast, but I wanted to make a long one, I'm pretty sure it was about a flying bunny, but I felt like I was the only one who hadn't finished at least one. She didn't make us turn the writing in, but I felt like it was too long, so I threw it away (and I really regret that now.).
Most of my ideas either come from holidays and events coming up, things that I really like at the time, or other stories I have heard. Holidays are definitely my kind of thing. I once wrote about a baby that this boy knew and the baby was a baby genius and on Halloween he went to her house to visit her. She was carving the scariest most detailed pumpkin he had ever seen. The flying bunny one that I mentioned in the other paragraph was around Christmas time, the girl got the bunny for Christmas. When I was in 3rd grade I was really into Sonic the Hedgehog video games and so was my brother, and we started to make it into a play, but I don't think we finished it. I still enjoy writing so much, and I can't wait to finally start writing again!
This was really good. I have a few similar stories, and its awesome you write plays

ReplyDeleteLove this Emily! Sounds like you and Jaymii need to collaborate on plays. I love your sense of creativity and obvious talent from a very young age. I am looking forward to seeing you grow this year. If you revise, consider adding more details about your fantasy writings. Well done!
ReplyDeletethanks!
DeleteI think many of us can relate you, your'e so creative and funny i bet you were wonderful at writing stories when you were little such as you are right now (by the way fantasy is also one of my favorite subjects).
ReplyDeleteI like how you have been wanting to write before you could write, make sure to keep up the good work
ReplyDeleteGood job Emily. I remember almost everything in this writing. Like the play you did and the class writing opportunities. Good job!
